How do I get discount tickets to Broadway shows?

The New York City Theater Development Fund runs the TKTS Discount Booths. These booths are the safest way to get discount tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.

There are two booths in the city. One booth is in Times Square and another is at the South Street Seaport. The booth in Times Square sells tickets only on the day of the show. The South Street booth sells tickets to the current night's performances and matinées the following day.
